How to care for flowers at home?

• Choose the Right Vase: Select a stable vase of the appropriate size as soon as you receive the bouquet. The narrow neck should not constrict the stems, and the vase should neither be too small nor too large. Ensure the vase is impeccably clean. If it has been unused for a while and collected dust, it's advisable to wash it thoroughly with a cleaning agent to prevent the spread of bacteria. Fill the vase with water halfway or more.
• Fill with Cool Water: Fill the vase with cool water, approximately two-thirds full. Ensure the water is not too cold or too hot to avoid shocking the delicate stems.
• Remove Packaging: Remove any packaging, if present, and untie the bouquet.
• Trim Stems at 45 Degrees: Always cut the stems at a 45-degree angle before placing them in water. You can use regular scissors or a knife, but for a more professional touch, consider using specialized pruning shears. When exposed to air, stem vessels can clog, significantly reducing the flower's ability to absorb water and nutrients. By the way, tulips are recommended to be regularly trimmed while in the vase; it can even help revive tired flowers.
• Trim Leaves to Prevent Decay: To extend the bouquet's life and prevent decay, trim leaves that may come in contact with water.
• Use Flower Fertilizer: Use flower fertilizer. If you unexpectedly find yourself without specialized fertilizer, add at least a spoonful of sugar to the water.

• Refresh Water Daily: If you want to enjoy the fragrance of the bouquet for a longer time, top up the vase with fresh water every day, or preferably, replace the water entirely.
• Protect from Direct Sunlight: Shield the bouquet from direct sunlight. While the mild February sun may not scorch delicate flowers, hot summer rays certainly can. Also, avoid placing the bouquet near heaters or radiators.
• Remove Wilted Flowers: Confidently remove wilting flowers from the bouquet; they cannot be revived, but they can prolong the freshness of their still-vibrant neighbors.
• Choosing the Right Vase: Selecting the right vase is crucial. Ensure it has a stable base, an appropriate size, and a neck that won't constrict the stems. Clean the vase thoroughly, especially if it has been unused and collected dust, to prevent bacterial growth. Fill it halfway or more with water.
• Proper Stem Trimming: Use a specialized pruner or a sharp knife for stem trimming. Scissors, especially dull ones, can crush stems, hindering the flowers' water absorption. Trim the stems at a 45-degree angle, usually 2-3 cm, to increase the absorbing surface area.
